May 8-14

It was a wonderful mothers day weekend in the salish sea! The whale sightings were good, but honestly, the highlight of the weekend was the weather! It was absolutely gorgeous as we were treated to lots of sunshine and temperatures into the 70’s all weekend.

This weekend we saw visits from several different families of killer whales including the T036A’s. T137’s, in addition to a couple of humpback whales. But our best encounter was on Saturday morning’s tour, when we got to watch an intense hunt from the T036A family. They were chasing and repeatedly ramming a sea lion. It was quite the display of power.

It looks like we have a lot more sunshine on the way this week. We are excited to get back out there and hope you can join us for an adventure!
